Ambrosia ice cream

Ingredients:
1 Shredded candied pineapple 0.50 c
2 Any fruit juice 0.25 c
3 Water 0.33 c
4 Whipping cream 1.00 c
5 Diced cherries 0.50 c
6 Sugar 0.50 c
7 Salt 0.12 ts
8 Vanilla 1.00 ts
9 Egg whites, stiffly beaten 2.00

Recipe Preparation Instructions :


Combine sugar and water. Boil to soft ball stage (238 F). Pour slowly, beating constantly, over egg whites. Add salt and fruits. Add fruit juice and flavoring. Mix thoroughly. Pour into tray of mechanical refrigerator or into freezer. Partially freeze. Carefully fold in stiffly whipped cream. Continue freezing until firm.
