Tartur Sauce

Origin: Syria

Ingredients:

* 1 Clove garlic
* 1 tsp Salt
* 1/2 cup Tahini* (made from sesame seeds)
* 1/2 cup Water
* 1/2 cup Lemon Juice

* Purchase from Arabic store.

Preparation:

Mash garlic and salt. Add tahini, mixing well--this will thicken. Gradually add water, blending thoroughly. Then add lemon juice.
Blend well. This is ready to be used with vegetables or in combination with other recipes.

Note: This can be a thin or thick sauce, depending upon use and preference-- simply adjust with water.
