The English armchair of Good Housekeeping's literary editor, Laura Mathews, was well loved — and well worn. Its floral slipcover had become dingy and unraveled after years of use by Laura's family.

But after new upholstery from Calico Corners, Laura says the chair "looks like it's gone on a diet!" The striped fabric "makes our busy living area look pulled together and smart," she says. And her family approves, too. "My daughter lives in the new chair...and now I'm on crumb patrol."
