Chocolate Pudding


50g butter
¾ castor sugar
1 egg
1 cup cake flour
5 tsp cocoa powder
1 Tbsp baking powder
¾ cup milk


1cup water
1 cup brown sugar
5 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence


Preheat oven to 180C. Cream butter and sugar well. Add egg and mix. Stir dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Spoon into deep oven proof dish. Prepare sauce by placing all the ingredients into a pot and bring to boil. Remove from heat and pour over the batter. Place in oven for 30 minutes until set on top. A sauce will form at the bottom. Serve hot.
