Broccoli Potato Soup

  • 1 Small onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg. Frozen hash brown potatoes, diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb Broccoli, cut up
  • 1 & 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg Swiss cheese, shredded

Place onion and hash browns in 3-quart saucepan. Cover with chicken broth. Cover pan and simmer until tender, about 10 minutes. Add broccoli and simmer another 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in milk, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Heat until hot, Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
