- Fast on the first 9 days (not on the 10th as it is the day of Eid)

- In the night of the first 10 days, between Maghrib and Eisha salaa recite a 2 rakaat salaa as under :

In every rakaat, after Suratul Fatiha recite Suratul Ikhlas and the following verse (Suratul A'raaf: 142) :

Wa waa 'adna Musa thalaatheena laylataw wa atmamnaahaa bi'ashrin fatamma meeqaatu Rabbihi arba'eena laylatan, wa qaala Musa liakhihi Haarunakh lufni fi qawmi qa aslah walaa sabeelal mufsideen.

And when We did appoint for Musa thirty nights, and added to them ten, and he completed the whole time appointed by his Rabb of forty nights; and Musa said unto his brother: "Take my place among the people. Do right, and do not follow the way of the mischief makers."
