Four simple ways to help conserve this scarce natural resource

1. Use less water by washing the dishes in a basin in the sink.

2. Use a twin-tub washing machine. Save the last water from the final rinse and use it for the next load’s first wash or prewash.

3. Use a short cycle or water-saving, economy cycle on the dishwasher.

4. Shower into a plastic basin and use the water collected on your garden.
