On December 27, 2008 AD, the Zionist army launched its 22-day holocaust on the besieged Gaza Strip, but despite its brutality that resulted in the death of almost 1,500 men, women, and children, and destruction of the infrastructure, in addition to several thousand wounded, it failed to topple the popularly elected Hamas-led Palestinian government. The illegal state Israel, with the support of its western backers, especially the US, has continued to besiege Gaza for the past five years, and frequently kills the defenseless people through firing of missiles, artillery barrages, and aerial bombing.

On January 17, 2009 AD, the illegal Zionist entity, Israel, was forced to halt its 22-day holocaust on the besieged and defenceless Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip, thus failing to overthrow the elected Hamas-led government. Over 1,400 Palestinian men, women, and children, were martyred and almost 5,500 others sustained injuries. At least 2 billion-dollar damage was inflicted on the infrastructure. The despicable crimes of the Zionist army forced the UN to launch an investigation, and its well-documented report, called the Zionist ringleaders war criminals. The report was approved by the UN Human Rights Council and the UN General Assembly, but because of US support, the Zionist entity unabashedly continues its crimes against humanity, including the illegal economic siege of Gaza.

Palestine's Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas

On January 25, 2006 AD, Palestine's Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, in its first participation in parliamentary polls in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, won 76 of the 132 seats, and formed the government under Prime Minister Ismail Hanieh. But, the illegal Zionist entity and Western regimes, especially the US, by imposing economic, political, and military pressures, tried in vain to topple the popularly elected government. They then created internal differences by inciting Mahmoud Abbas to declare a rival government in the West Bank. And when this also failed, Israel unleashed the 22-day holocaust on Gaza massacring almost 1,500 Palestinian men, women and children, but failing to dislodge the government. These acts of state terrorism of Israel and the Western regimes, especially the US, against Palestinian people and their elected government, shows that the West’s claims to support democracy and human rights are nothing but sheer lies.

Masssacre of Palestinians

On December 30, 1947 AD, operatives of two Zionist terrorist outfits, in a joint operation, raided the village of Balad ash-Shaikh in British occupied Palestine, setting fire to the homes and hearths of Palestinians, martyring sixty men, women, and children were martyred. On the same day, a Zionist terrorist group, Irgun, in two other attacks, hurled bombs at a gathering of Palestinians, martyring seventeen and wounding dozens of others. The upsurge in Zionist terrorism in the waning days of the year 1947 and the early days of 1948 was a prelude to the illegal birth of the usurper entity called Israel in May 1948.

Egyptian border policeman in Sinai desert, Suleiman Khater

On January 7, 1986 AD, Egyptian border policeman in Sinai desert, Suleiman Khater, attained martyrdom in prison. In protest to the scandalous Camp David accord between Egypt and the Zionist entity, he executed a number of Israelis in the Sinai Peninsula on October 1985. Following his detention by the Hosni Mubarak regime a kangaroo court sentenced him to life imprisonment. After a while, his body was found hanging in the prison, and the Egyptian regime claimed he had committed suicide. On announcement of this news, thousands of Egyptian students held major demonstrations in Cairo and other cities, venting their anger against this ominous act of the Egyptian regime. It is believed the regime murdered him on the orders of the Zionists, and hanged his dead body to avoid blame.

Assassination of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), Abu Ayad
On January 14, 1991 AD, the notorious Zionist spying agency, Mossad, in a terrorist act in Tunisia, assassinated one of the prominent leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), Abu Ayad, along with two other Palestinian officials. Abu Ayad was a member of the PLO central committee, and the security official of Fatah Movement, the most important faction of PLO. The assassination smelled of treason on the part of the Tunisian regime of the now ousted Zain al-Abedin bin Ali and some Palestinian leaders, because later in the same year in October, PLO Chief and other compromising leaders, started the so-called peace talks with the illegal Zionist entity, Israel.
