I would like to congratulate the readers on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir. Firstly, I would like to draw the readers' attention to some points:

1. Virtues and position of Ali bin Abi Talib (A.S) are not limited to his rulership and guardianship of the society. Although this position is a very high and honorable which comes from the Almighty God's commandment, the sublimity of the closeness to Almighty God and his religious guardianship is a higher and greater virtue as there is also such a great and high dignity and status for other members of the Household (Ahl-ul-Bayt) (A.S) who are infallible and purified. Thus, discussing the evidences of Imam Ali's Vilayat (Guardianship) shouldn't stop us from searching and studying virtues of the Household.; In contrast, we should do our best as far as possible to study and think about Ahl-ul-Bayt's virtues which consequently will have great benefits God Willing.

2. The evidences of guardianship of the Commander of Faithful are in no way limited to the Hadith of Al-Ghadir Khumm and there are other strong evidences in this regard. Of course, it does not matter if some well documented evidences prove the issue by relying on each other.

It seems that among the evidences of Imam Ali’s guardianship, the Hadith of al-Ghadir Khumm is brighter and stronger due to at least two factors: firstly, the event has its roots in the holy Qur’an with those stunning and amazing words in Surat Al-Ma'idah verses 3 and 67. Secondly, the last sermon of the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was delivered among a unique assembly of Muslim Masses with a high level of participation which was only a few months before the Holy Prophet Muhammad's departure for his heavenly abode.
